Hi! I'm Sarina Lai! I'm currently a sophomore at the School of Visual Arts pursuing a BFA in 3D Animation and VFX. I'm from Taiwan, but was born and raised in New Jersey for most of my childhood. I've always loved art since I was a child, which led me to develop a passion for 3D Animation.
I got the opportunity to learn to use many software such as Maya, After Effects, Substance Painter, Nuke, and many more. Getting the chance to study at SVA has helped me to gain a better understanding of 3D animation pipeline, team work, problem solving, and help each other improve by giving feedback and critique on each other's work. Being able to collaborate and built connections has been some of my favorite parts about working on a project!
Outside of schoolwork, I also love spending my free time working on personal projects where I can use 3D as another form of tool to allow me to visualize my work and help me develop skills beyond my current knowledge.
